Functions of Upazila Parishad

** All matters related to Upazila Parishad fund.
** Regarding grant of power beyond the expenditure of the council fund.
** Offer to impose tax, royalties, tolls and fees.
** Annual budget, annual account statement and revised budget of the upazila council.
** Audit of cost of upazila council.
** Five hundred and different development plans are planned.
** To implement the programs of various government departments handed over to the council and to supervise and coordinate the work of the department.
** Processing of various agreements to implement the work by the Council.
** Formation of various committees and sub-committees.

** Review of law and order situation in the upazila.
** Review of relief and rehabilitation work in the upazila.
* Approval of Establishment and implementation of implementation by the Upazila Parishad.
** To review, monitor and evaluate the progress of all types of development work implemented.
** Review all the decisions taken by the council.
** Other matters related to public interest
